mended assemblage
On my urban forest walks, I find chewed, squashed plastic bottles - mute evidence of animals consuming our waste, just as we unknowingly ingest microplastics ourselves. Mending these bottles will not restore their use, yet the act becomes a symbolic gesture of care in a world where nature and the unnatural blur. In this small, deliberate repair, I hold space for hope, dialogue, and the possibility of change.
