 “where the spirit never dies”

This assemblage sculpture—a whimsical tree forged from broken umbrella parts, wire, metal scraps, and trash trapped in resin—imagines new life blooming from the castoffs of our culture.

Inspired by Bob Dylan’s lyric, “The tree of life is growing where the spirit never dies,” it reflects on resilience, transformation, and the marks we leave behind. Each material is a geocrumb—evidence of human presence, pollution, and possibility.

See this sculpture, plus a dozen more as part of Collaborative Concepts Outdoor Sculpture exhibit.
