Peonies are some of my most favorite flowers, which is why this one is here.
When I moved from the home I grew up in, I dug up some of the peonies my mom grew and planted them in my new yard. This is just one of them.
An ode to the beauty of flowers is formed and stitched from single-use plastic, the very same single-use plastic that is littering our planet and adding to our collective climate emergency.
Here it is transformed into luscious, colorful swirls of petals and leaves of sophisticated peonies.
It measures 18 inches by 18 inches and is adhered to cradled board with painted edges. Framed and wired for hanging.
